The sixth form transformation - the capacity to improve
Eaton Bank Sixth Form is about choice, variety and diversity. With almost thirty subjects on offer there is the opportunity to plan for the future no matter what career direction you intend to follow.
Prospective students are asked to choose their subjects without option grid constraints and for the vast majority, their preferred choices are realised. The school is rightly proud of the support and guidance given to students. Universities and employers alike often praise our students and refer to the thorough preparation and support given as they prepare for the next stage of their life journey.
It is our passionate belief that students from Eaton Bank have the choice and range of experiences necessary to move forward into adult life. Our students are proud, confident, well educated young people who, whatever their vocation, will feel they have received the necessary qualifications, skill development and range of experiences required to make valuable, worthwhile contributions to modern day life.
Forward planning and thinking drives the development of our post-16 experience. From the moment a student enters year 7 it is emphasised that their journey through school is a seven year experience. Recently there has been considerable investment in our Sixth Form to provide both an ethos and environment which stimulates, excites and above all ensures high achievement. Some of the more recent developments include:
a newly refurbished Sixth Form Centre with state of the art presentation facilities
a dedicated Sixth Form Learning Centre complete with top of the range computing facilities
a section of the Learning Resources Centre which is used exclusively by sixth form students
To support future developments and innovations our Director of the Sixth Form will absolutely guarantee an educational experience with challenges, support and meets individual needs.
