Whoever put together these wise words felt, as we do at Eaton Bank School, that a combination of vision - that ability to see an improved or ideal state - coupled with the will, resources and energy to make it a reality, is a very powerful combination indeed.

Whilst never pretending to have reached the 'ideal', we believe that working in partnership with our students, their parents and our community, provides us with the potential to achieve anything and everything - a bold assertion, but one we fundamentally believe in. Harnessing the energy and abilities of our young people and working together to achieve at the highest levels, in all aspects of school life and across the full range of what we might call 'achievements', is characteristic of this school's approach to developing the citizens of tomorrow.

Our vision becomes concrete in the plans we formulate with staff, students and governors, annually, in our School Improvement Plan. Its focus is on maximising the potential of all who make up Eaton Bank - students and staff. This dynamic document steers a course enabling us to get closer and closer to our vision.

What is that vision?

Put simply, it is our aim to maximise the potential of all students and staff with this reflected in our measurable achievements and in many other ways - including producing self-directed, successful learners able to meet the challenges of life in a rapidly-changing 21st century global environment.
